Keemun Congou Tea

from $1.50

A true classic. Keemun Congou comes from Qimen county in China's Anhui province and is one of the world's most celebrated black teas. It brews a clear, coppery-amber cup with a smooth body and a distinctive "winey" character: notes of raisin, dried fruit and a soft, toasty hint that some describe as a whisper of smoke. The finish lingers just long enough to invite another sip.

Keemun is also the heart of many traditional English Breakfast blends, including ours, and of our Russian Caravan.

Ingredients: Keemun black tea (Anhui, China)

Brew: 1–2 teaspoons (or 1 tea bag) per 8 oz of water at 200–212°F. Steep 3–5 minutes. Delicious plain or with a splash of milk.

Caffeine: Moderate (black tea)
