Earthy, smooth and deeply mellow, pu-erh is one of the world's most distinctive teas. Unlike other teas, pu-erh is fermented and aged, which gives it a rich, woody, forest-floor depth and a velvety finish with no bitterness. Like fine wine, it mellows and evolves with time.
Our pu-erh comes pressed into single-serving mini cakes (also called tuocha): just drop one in your pot. No chipping, no measuring, and each cake brews several cups.
Ingredients: Pu-erh tea
Brew: Place 1 mini cake in a pot or large mug. Rinse with boiling water for 10 seconds and discard. Add 8 oz of boiling water (200–212°F) and steep 3–5 minutes. Re-steep 3 or more times, adding a minute each time.
Caffeine: Moderate
